Business Restructure Support for this Reset Economy

So here we find ourselves in what is becoming known as the “Reset Economy based on much commentary from people such as Steve Ballmer CEO of Microsoft, Jeff Immelt CEO of GE and many more. So if the business entities and the communities that are connected with those business entities want to navigate and think differently about how to respond, then where do or can they begin. First step is to really understand and agree on some of the factors that contributed to getting us to where we are today.

 

We have all gotten here over the past 25 to 30 years as a result of :

 

      1. Cheap Debt which drove Excessive Leverage and people living beyond their means.
      2. Unregulated elements of financial markets which drove excessive risk taking and short term speculative thinking.
      3. Greed and self interest that led to excessive and imbalanced wealth extraction, also with a short term mindset, that knocked the whole business eco system out of balance.

In response to a severe downturn such as the one just experienced, the first steps that a company takes are generally pretty easy. Downsize, stop spending, preserve cash, clean up the balance sheet, take care of your most important Customers. However as companies now come to terms with a new order and get to experience the behaviors of this new  " RESET" Economy, they are begining to need a little more in terms of understanding how to architect and re-structure their organization and maybe even their business system and philosophy.
